The Growth of The Land of Lincoln.

Early in the 20th century as the United States advanced from an agrarian to an industrial nation, one historian described The State of Illinois as having a more significant history than any other state beyond the original 13 states.  Throughout the twentieth century, Illinois has sustained that prominence and takes pride in doing so!

The War of 1812 was significant in Illinois history as the veterans of that war against England to solidify our independence begin receiving 160-acre land warrants in the Illinois Military Tract. That is a region between the Illinois and Mississippi rivers. In 1818 we gained our stripes as Illinois became the 21st state in the Union.

Today, here in the Fox Valley, we believe that we have the best of both worlds…a big city to the east and a more suburban and agriculture lifestyle close to the nest. I pledge to take care of your plumbing needs again in 2021 as I have done for decades. My name is Scott Swanson of bee-plumbinginc.com. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from my family to yours.

Soon it Will Be Freezing Out Here…and Down There.

Those of us who live in around the Fox Valley know that one of the worst things that can happen to any homeowner during winter is having a pipe freeze. We will go one step further…that is having a frozen pipe burst. That is about the worst thing that can happen to any homeowner during the upcoming winter.

Do mains in the far Northwest Chicagoland suburbs actually freeze? The answer is an emphatic yes! The answer to this questions is really simple…it’s possible for all of your plumbing lines to freeze if the conditions permit.  This will cause almost every drain and plumbing fixture in your home to back up from an ice clog within a pipe.

What is the best way to thaw out a frozen sewer line? The answer is simple…call me Scott Swanson at Bee Plumbing. This is not something that you wait to heal on its own as your piping is one hard freeze away from potential disaster. Look me up on the web at bee-plumbinginc.com then call the phone number in your specific area.

The Dreaded Clogged Drain.

If you live in a Far West Suburban Chicagoland home long enough you will probably experience clogged drains. They are configured a bit like a tree and its many branches. Your home has a main line and sublines that run off it that are typically a bit smaller in size. A toilet is the most common place to find a clogged drain.

The most likely causes of a clogged drain in your Chicagoland area home are –

1.  Tree roots…they just keep growing clogging up the system.

2.  Flushable wipes…be careful how many you relegate to the toilet.

3.  Baby related products and even feminine hygiene ones

4.  Don’t pour excessive amounts of grease or oil down your sink.

5.  A build-up of hair will continue to accumulate.

Unclogging drains are one of the many things they do at Bee Plumbing. Scott and his team will have your drains flowing smoothly and efficiently again. If you live in the middle and lower Fox Valley, please visit bee-plumbinginc.com. on the internet. For service just call the number that serves your area anytime whether it is an emergency or not.
