The Fox Valley Has a Rich History.

They came from far away to settle the Fox River Valley where I am proud to call home in Sandwich, Illinois as the owner of Bee Plumbing. My name is Scott Swanson. This time of year, as we come back from the most challenging time in our memory, it is perhaps, appropriate that we look back on our history and look with optimism to our future.

Way back in 1833, Cleng Peerson with two companions set out on foot to explore the great west and ended up starting a new colony…The Fox River Colony. Peerson is said to have walked 2,000 miles in this quest to find the perfect home! Peerson left from the first settlement at Kendall, New York and is reported to have walked through Michigan, finally reaching Chicago, which was then a village of about 20 huts.

It is amazing to think of Chicago being so small. What is wonderful for all of us is that we live in the beautiful Fox Valley. I hope that you will take advantage of any and all of the holiday activities around Chicagoland. If you need plumbing services in 2022 just google this address bee-plumbinginc.com.

Let’s Look Inside and See What Might be Wrong.

For Scott Swanson of Bee Plumbing in Sandwich, IL to be able to see inside pipes and through the long expanse of sewer lines, a high-resolution sewer pipe camera is fastened to the end of a flexible rod. That is the essence of sewer line inspection from above ground.

Scott does sewer inspection in Sandwich, DeKalb, and Kendall counties as well as points nearby. He uses a specific type of camera that is employed for sewer line inspections. Not surprisingly, it’s called a sewer inspection camera or a sewer pipe camera. It is a tiny and very flexible camera which is built to be snaked into sewer lines and pipes.

You will quickly see that Scott Swanson and his team from Fox Valley’s Bee Plumbing has a multitude of plumber services available to you. If you check out the work and the plumbing talents at the website bee-plumbinginc.com you’ll see for yourself. Now, all you have to do is call the phone number closest to your location.

Don’t Let the Sump Pump Freeze.

It is not exactly as popular of a phrase as “don’t let the bedbugs bite”, but you will be glad that you avoided it this winter in the Far Western Suburbs of Chicagoland. Pipes can become covered with snow and ice in the winter around the Fox Valley. This can spell disaster for your basement if the sump pump water cannot exit the line outside.

Here are some tips from Fox Valley plumber Scott Swanson to keep that from happening –

1.  Keep water flowing through the pipes.

2.  Create a bit of a slope for your sump pump.

3.  Protect the pipes from freezing air outdoors.

4.  Adjust the distance between the pump and the discharge hose.

Maybe these are DIY jobs, and maybe they aren’t. One thing is certain…if you have sump pump repair issues this winter in Chicagoland’s Fox Valley all you have to do is call on sump pump repair and replacement expert Scott Swanson, the owner of Bee Plumbing. To make sure that you call the correct number just visit bee-plumbinginc.com.

How I Fix Backflow Problems.

When I inspect your backflow device, sometimes it needs repair. That is just a fact of life. It is, by no means, all that I do but it is one of my specialties. My name is Scott…the owner of Bee Plumbing, serving the Fox Valley area from my headquarters in Sandwich, IL.

Some of the methods I use are –

1.  Inserting a hose bib backflow preventor.

2.  A pressure-type vacuum breaker. It is installed in the pipe that supplies the sprinklers.

3.  There is something called a barometric loop.

4.  I create an air gap.

I am a Certified Backflow Tester and an Illinois Licensed Plumber. You can count on me for a wide variety of plumbing repair tasks. Don’t take my word for it, just visit bee-plumbinginc.com to see the whole story. For backflow testing and repair and other plumbing services in the Fox Valley area just call me at the number nearest you listed on my website.

What Happens When a Kitchen Sprayer Leaks?

It could happen in your kitchen suddenly without notice. Suddenly there is water all over the place…clean up on aisle five! You can avoid all of that if you see disaster coming by calling Scott Swanson of Bee Plumbing, serving the Southern Fox Valley well ahead of time.

Something Scott will do is install a new hose under the faucet by wrapping pipe joint tape on the male threads, then screwing on the hose coupling nut and tightening it with his handy dandy wrench. He then brings the other end of the hose up through the precut hole in the sink and slides on the coupling retaining ring and washers to complete the job.

It is just one of the dozens of plumbing jobs that Scott Swanson of Bee Plumbing does around your home or office whether it is an emergency or regular maintenance.
